Cubic Foot Pricing
A moving-industry pricing model that charges per cubic foot of inventory loaded onto the truck.
Cubic foot pricing replaces hourly billing on long-distance moves by calculating volume from a video survey or photo inventory. Carriers multiply the cubic footage by a per-cf rate (typically $4–$8/cf) plus accessorials. It removes the time-pressure incentive that hourly creates and gives customers a binding number up front.
